The Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of ADGM, the international financial centre of Abu Dhabi, has published a Consultation Paper inviting feedback on proposed DeFi Risk Management Guidance (the Guidance) which sets out the FSRA’s expectations for how Authorised Persons and Recognised Bodies should identify, assess monitor and manage risks arising from their engagement with DeFi protocols and venues.
The Guidance focuses on regulated entities’ governance and control of their DeFi engagements. It sets out how they should approach risk management, governance, due diligence, monitoring, financial crime controls, incident escalation, recordkeeping, auditability, competence and client asset safeguards when engaging with DeFi.
