ADGM to amend the Application of English Law Regulations 2015

Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the award-winning international financial centre located in Abu Dhabi, announced today that it has published amendments to the Application of English Law Regulations 2015 (AELRs), following a public consultation, which closed on 15 November 2020.
The AELRs were introduced upon establishment of ADGM over five years ago, as such, a review was undertaken to ensure the regulations remain fit for purpose and consistent with developments in English law over that time.
The proposed amendments will ensure that the ADGM legislative framework continues to be internationally competitive and attractive to business, in order to facilitate a flourishing, innovative ecosystem.
