ADGM publishes amendments to its Insolvency Regulations 2015 and Companies Regulations 2020

The Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) has announced amendments to the Insolvency Regulations 2015 and Companies Regulations 2020.

The amendments to the Insolvency Regulations enhance the ADGM’s insolvency framework, including providing greater clarity on the prescribed form and content in procedural matters under the regulations and align with the ADGM Courts eCourts platform. Improvements have also been made to allow administrators to apply to the ADGM Courts in order to avail themselves to priority financing.

The amendments to the Companies Regulations will also provide the Registrar with greater flexibility in order to meet the objectives of the ADGM where public policy grounds prevail.
