    Abu Dhabi Global Market Appoints Dhaher Mohammed Bin Dhaher Almheiri as Head of its Registration Bureau

    Abu Dhabi Global Market (“ADGM”), the international financial centre in Abu Dhabi, today announced the appointment of Dhaher Mohammed Bin Dhaher Almheiri to head its Registration Bureau.

    Dhaher will be responsible for developing and overseeing the registration process for both financial and non-financial services companies’ established within ADGM. He will also oversee the registration of realproperty and members’ compliance to laws and non-financial-services-related regulations.

    Commenting on his appointment, Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Chairman of ADGM, said: “We are delighted to have Dhaher join our team and we welcome him to Abu Dhabi Global Market. Dhaher has a solid track record in both the financial and non-financial services industry and a deep understanding of operational best practice.” He added, “Dhaher will be instrumental in delivering a customer focused, efficient, business friendly and seamless registration process, a key component of our core value proposition to our member institutions as we prepare to receive our first license application later this year.”

    On his appointment, Dhaher Mohammed Bin Dhaher Almheiri commented: “This is a very exciting time for Abu Dhabi and I am honoured to be able to take part in its remarkable growth story through Abu Dhabi Global Market which has all the essential building blocks to become a key player in the global financial world. I am looking forward to the opportunities that lie ahead as we build a robust and business friendly registration process that meets our clients’ requirements and measures against top international financial centres globally.”

    Dhaher has held numerous senior roles related to business development and strategy over the course of his career and has spent over six years with the Dubai International Financial Centre Authority, in various managerial positions last of which was Executive Director.

    Today’s announcement follows the appointment of Richard Teng as CEO of the ADGM Regulator last October and Sir Hector Sants as Chief Advisor to ADGM in December.
