The 3rd Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum took place on 20 January 2021
The economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic presents an important opportunity for a paradigm shift in terms of how we think about finance and investment. Policy, financial and business leaders are increasingly committed to retaining sustainability at the core of recovery plans. With these plans requiring substantial public and private finance, it means sustainable finance is now at the forefront of these strategies.
The 3rd Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum (ADSFF), which took place virtually during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, brought together institutional investors, regulators, international agencies, financial institutions and project developers. They shared their recent actions in sustainable finance that will aid economic recovery and the rebuilding of global economies in more sustainable, resilient and equitable ways.
ADSFF is a flagship initiative by Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), Abu Dhabi’s International Financial Centre. Continuing the momentum generated by the January 2020 event, which focused on ‘scaling investments for sustainable development’, ADSFF 2021 revealed the further progress towards Abu Dhabi’s Sustainable Finance Agenda and the work of its key partners, highlighting how to finance sustainable economic recovery.
