About ADGM
An International Financial Centre born out of ambition

Abu Dhabi Global Market is an award-winning International Financial Centre strategically located in the Capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Established by UAE Federal Decree, ADGM’s jurisdiction extends across the entire 114 hectares of Al Maryah Island.

ADGM's three independent authorities - the Registration Authority (RA), the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) and ADGM Courts - together ensure that its business-friendly environment operates in line with international best practices, recognised by major financial centres worldwide.

Since opening for business in late October 2015, ADGM quickly gained global recognition for its robust, progressive and responsive business-friendly ecosystem. Through collaboration and by focusing on understanding business needs, ADGM introduced many ‘firsts’ both regionally and globally.  As a catalyst of growth, ADGM delivers value to its clients and its peers, and contributes to Abu Dhabi's ambitious growth plan and strategy.

ADGM is a key pillar of Abu Dhabi's Economic Vision, acting as a catalyst for the growth of its dynamic financial services sector in the UAE. At the heart of ADGM is a premise of long-term partnership and collaboration - locally, regionally and internationally. Central to this is a confidence which is born out of ambition rather than necessity. This blueprint of exchange between the UAE and the world beyond promises to grow in the future as this country becomes an even greater influential hub for global commerce.

ADGM initiatives
In our ambition to become a leading International Financial Centre and to contribute to the global finance and business landscape, we introduce and launch initiatives that benefit businesses across the region and beyond.
ADGM Arbitration Centre

ADGM established and operates its state-of-the-art Arbitration Centre from ADGM Square. The fully operational hearing facilities are available to all parties seeking to resolve their disputes through arbitration or mediation and also provides best in-class training in dispute resolution services.

The ADGM Arbitration Centre is not an arbitral institution, which means that the facilities can be used by parties regardless of which institution they choose to administer their arbitration.

The International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Court) has established its first representative office in ADGM, facilitating ICC-administered arbitration proceedings in the region.

ADGM Academy

ADGM Academy was established to deliver world-class financial education and literacy through a wide range of globally-recognised educational and experiential programmes.

An integral part of ADGM, the Academy aims to build expertise, financial education and literacy to power the region, focusing on a selection of topics and qualifications in banking, finance, leadership, entrepreneurship, technical and soft-skills.

Located in its unique, fully-equipped training facilities, ADGM Academy combines high quality learning with stimulating debate around financial matters with ADGM experts, in addition to enhancing the learning experience of students by engaging in training and events.
