Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the international financial centre in Abu Dhabi, is poised to kick-off the 2017 Citi® Tech for Integrity Challenge (T4I) Demo Day series with the first group of finalists in Abu Dhabi next week on May 15th, 2017.

T4I is a landmark effort to encourage technology innovators from around the world to create cutting-edge solutions to promote integrity, accountability and transparency in the public sector and beyond. The initiative, led by Citi in collaboration with public and private sector allies around the world, will provide public sector entities with access to tech innovators and their ideas on how to increase transparency and efficiency. T4I will also provide the support and infrastructure that tech innovators need to tailor new technology solutions for this market.

More than 15 teams of FinTech finalists from various countries, including the UAE, will be presenting diverse FinTech solutions before a distinguished panel of senior Citi and ally industry leaders. This year, Citi has received more than 1,000 registrations across 305 cities.  Through the T4I accelerator program, 103 finalists will move forward to present their solutions at one of six demo days, which will be held in Abu Dhabi, Dublin, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Singapore and Hyderabad.   ADGM’s support of T4I is one of the series of initiatives under its FinTech Abu Dhabi event 2017.

The Citi T4I Demo Day will be held at ADGM on Al Maryah Island, the financial free zone of Abu Dhabi.  T4I is a global initiative and collaboration to inspire the development of innovative tech solutions that promote integrity and support anti-corruption initiatives led by public sector clients and partners.  This initiative reinforces ADGM’s commitment in developing an open, inclusive and sustainable FinTech platform and ecosystem that supports the needs of local and global business and financial communities.  The T4I event attracts international technology innovators and provides a one-of-a-kind, world class, virtual accelerator programme to develop innovative solutions that promote transparency and integrity. 

Representing the Middle East and Africa region, Abu Dhabi is one of six identified hubs, including Buenos Aires, Dublin, Hyderabad, Mexico City and Singapore, to hold a Demo Day for this exciting T4I challenge.  Abu Dhabi, with Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) representing its Fintech Hub in advancing Fintech developments, is also recently ranked as the top FinTech Hub for the MENA region by Deloitte for its innovative initiatives and ongoing efforts in fostering the FinTech ecosystem for the region.
