Entity Type

Pursuant to FSMR, Schedule 1, paragraph 73F(2), the following types of information are Specified Information for the purposes of FSMR and the COBS Rules:

  • information relating to a Payment Account held by the customer at another Financial Institution; and
  • information required to initiate a Payment Transaction on behalf of the customer with respect to a Payment Account held by the customer at another Financial Institution.
How to use the Public Register

You can search the Register to find out whether a firm you are using or plan to do business with, is authorised or by the FSRA.

Other information you can see about a firm or individual includes:

the main contact details, trading names and other basic information

the 'status' of a firm or individual, e.g. whether they are authorised or approved

the name and basic details of some firms and individuals that are providing products or services. 

Who the Register applies to

The Register is a public record that shows details of firms, individuals and other bodies that are, or have been, approved by the FSRA.
