The Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum 2022

Plotting the Path to Meet Net-Zero Targets: Energizing Efforts for Action

The UAE’s financial sector is committed to assisting the country’s delivery on its national climate goals and programmes, notably the Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative, the first-ever net-zero target in the Middle East and North African region.

The fourth edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum (ADSFF) will convene top global institutional investors, selected Heads of State and Ministers of Finance, regulators and financial institutions to discuss areas of collaboration to increase the flow of capital toward sustainable investment. Key cross-cutting areas such as innovation and inclusion will be incorporated throughout.

ADSFF is a flagship initiative by Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), Abu Dhabi’s International Financial Centre. Continuing the momentum generated by last year’s event, which focused on ‘scaling investments for sustainable development’, ADSFF 2022 will reveal further progress towards Abu Dhabi’s Sustainable Finance Agenda and the work of its key partners, highlighting how to finance sustainable economic development.

ADGM’s Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum to be a carbon neutral platform

Abu Dhabi Global Market, the leading international financial centre, is pleased to announce that the fourth edition of its landmark Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum (ADSFF) will be a carbon-neutral event and platform. ADGM will collaborate with AirCarbon Exchange (ACX) to obtain its carbon neutrality status through an offsetting programme. This is done by purchasing carbon credits from a project that works to reduce or absorb carbon emissions.

The Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Declaration

The Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Declaration is a framework for fostering and integrating green and sustainable investments in Abu Dhabi as well as in the UAE. This year our declaration signatories have expanded from 41 to 59. ADGM has always believed in working closely with stakeholders across the spectrum from public, private, national to global institutions and regulators.

ADGM’s ESG Report

The recent COP26 brought to light a critical market need for accessible, comparable and transparent ESG data to build trust amongst companies and investors to measure progress on sustainable development. ADGM is proud to present its ESG report launched in partnership with the Oxford Business Group.
